The stunning Oscar winner lets us in on her beauty secrets

BEAUTY IS
“A woman who can love with her whole self unconditionally and without vanity, but in a more conventional sense, my idea of beauty is a woman who can be comfortable in her most natural state, as well as in more glamorous moments.”
BRAND CONNECTION
“The best part about being a Lancôme ambassadress is the collaboration I have with the brand now. We work on the creative side of each campaign together. A great image doesn’t happen by chance; it is the result of the hard work of many skilled individuals who are focused on working as a team. This is always a great deal of fun since I am working with great artists and photographers, for whom I have tremendous respect.”
DAILY PRACTICE
“My beauty routine in the morning has to be fast as I am up early to get everyone out the door for school. I start with Lancôme MousseÉclat, which makes skin feel clean immediately. Then I slap on a few quick pumps of Visionnaire and then immediately apply RénergieMulti-Lift. At night, I wash again with Mousse Éclat, and then use Rénergie Yeux Multi-Lift. Sometimes I use a small amount of Absolue L’Extrait. It feels decadent every time I use it.”

DREAM VACATION
“I want to take my little family to explore New Zealand. I know it fairly well, and I have relatives there, too. It is a beautiful place – I have some great memories of incredible times spent there.”
RED-CARPET RITUAL
“Over the years, I have learnt how to relax and enjoy the red-carpet experience. Even though I don’t drink much, I avoid alcohol completely for a couple of weeks beforehand and the same goes with salt, because it can make eyes puffy. I try to get a couple of good resculpting facials. In the US, I visit Tracie Martyn and in the UK, I get Indiba facials from Glenda Barton, a facialist and beauty therapist. I also try to eat a good breakfast, as the ceremonies often go on for a while, and it can be a long wait before you find any food!”
JET-LAG REMEDY
“I sleep whenever I have the opportunity to catch up, and drink a lot of water. But it takes me ages [to recover] and it gets worse as I get older.”
