Everything you need to know about Dior’s newest bag—the 30 Montaigne
It pays tribute to an iconic address and the creative genius who lived there
Home can mean different things to different people. But for legendary couturier Christian Dior, 30 Avenue Montaigne (his brand’s celebrated home in Paris) was a source of constant inspiration.
The 30 Montaigne signature is gently embossed on the back, adding that subtle touch
It was the epicentre of his creativity.
Inaugurated on the morning of December 16, 1946, the iconic address has been the beating heart of Dior ever since.
The bag’s design is adorned with the founding couturier’s initials, reinterpreted as a beautiful oversized fastener offering a classy addition
And now, as a fitting tribute, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri recently launched a new bag named 30 Montaigne for the Fall 2019 ready-to-wear collection.
It is available in an elegant box calf leather and another version comes covered with the emblematic Dior Oblique canvas that is punctuated with leather detailing
It will be a part of the permanent 30 Montaigne collection for the House of Dior . “The connection we develop to a place can be extremely powerful. I felt it right away when I stepped inside 30 Avenue Montaigne, the House’s historic birthplace,” Grazia Chiuri said in a statement.
Available in 10 different colours including blue and burgundy, this stylish bag can be carried in multiple ways—in hand, worn on the shoulder or cross-body. And much like all of Dior’s iconic designs (think Lady Dior and the Saddle bag), the 30 Montaigne bag is going to be that perfect, timeless addition to your wardrobe.
