Indians have done the best Kiki Challenge videos, hands down

If you need to release a song asking Kiki if she loves you, she probably doesn’t. But good for us  Canadian rapper Drake’s In My Feelings has turned into a viral video challenge, giving us a lot of viewing material. Comedian Shiggy started the Kiki Challenge (or Shiggy Challenge as it’s also known) and it basically involves getting out of a running car and dancing to a few lines from In My Feelings — all the while keeping up with the pace of the car.

The Kiki Challenge has been attempted by people across the world, and in India, the results have been particularly h-i-l-a-r-i-o-u-s. There have been lots of #fail attempts, parodies and also celebrities doing a take on it. While cops across India have been tweeting the dangers of doing the Kiki Challenge, people seem undeterred. Honestly, they either don’t give two hoots about their (and others’) safety or they’re really brave. Because consider the challenges that this challenge involves in India. There’s likely to be potholes along the way. Falling down on video is not going to impress Kiki. Even if you manage to find a pothole-free stretch (tell us where, please), you’re likely to be interrupted by motorists who think they own the streets and random people who’ll hold up their hand and cross the road.

If you manage to overcome these hurdles, there are some more uniquely Indian ones waiting for you. Someone or the other will stop you and say, “Boss, yeh address bata do zara”. If you manage to evade the lost fellow, there’ll be a cow or two getting in your way, looking at you as if you’re intruding on their territory.

Here are the champions who tried the Kiki Challenge:

The aunty from Vadodara who had people in other cars fuming.
