Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas’ latest collection of jewellery for IIJW 2015, Adaa, was inspired by six iconic women – Maharani Gayatri Devi, Sita Devi, Umrao Jaan, Jodha Bai, Queen Niloufer and Razia Sultan. Beautifully crafted, the collection comprised of traditional polki necklaces, borla drop matha pattis, hathphools, elegant pearl necklaces and bangles. There’s something for everyone – pick from their delicate styles if you’re going for a more sophisticated look or play it bold in a statement piece. Rimple and Harpreet Narula’s vibrant garments complemented the jewels perfectly. Actor Preity Zinta graced the runway, styled in a look inspired by Jodha Bai, and looked absolutely stunning. Even Dia Mirza looked radiant as she channeled Queen Niloufer.
