Structured, abstract or colour-blocked—form-flattering bands of all shapes and sizes are taking over resort wear this season. But be warned: the approach is maximalist and for the brave only. For the tone, think bright, dramatic lines of cobalt blue, canary yellow and vibrant coral—or just be inspired by Gabriela Hearst’s fun graphics and Balmain’s colourful crocheted (and downright sexy) bands. Alternatively, follow EDUN, Adam Lippes and Milly’s lead to drench yourself in stripes, because Emilio Pucci’s collection featured bold stripes and Kenzo took the minimalist route to interpret barcodes in their own unique way.
Meanwhile, Michael Kors and M Missoni’s classic nautical stripes gave us serious throwback vibes and Versace worked its magic on graphic lines to prove that athleisure isn’t a trend as much as it is a state of mind.
