Britain’s first Asian plus-size model stars in eBay’s latest campaign

Joining the ranks of plus-size supermodels who are breaking the metaphorical glass ceiling is Britain’s first Asian plus-size model Bishamber Das. She stars in a new campaign by popular e-commerce website eBay. Das features alongside names like Tess Holliday and Callie Thorpe.

The model of Indo-Malaysian heritage isn't new to the spotlight though. In 2014, she was the runner-up in the Miss India Europe contest, a remarkable feat considering she was the only plus-size model to enter the competition. In an interview with Paper magazine, she also talks about working on her own plus-size fashion label.

She has also been the face of Middle Eastern brand Yours Clothing, and walked the ramp for Plus Equals UK, an online plus-size vintage clothing store.
