As true-blue beauty enthusiasts, keeping our eyes and ears open consistently looking for beauty recommendations has become second nature to us. And if there’s someone we turn to, it’s the people whose job description includes keeping their skin in top shape. Since the last few weeks, we’ve seen A-listers, from Alaya F to Kareena Kapoor Khan, sporting natural face masks from a beauty label called TLC Locally Yours. Naturally, we had to find out more about the brand and so we reached out to Nisha Sareen, the founder of this handmade, skincare and haircare blends. Here, the actor-turned-beauty-entrepreneur talks about her beauty philosophy and what drove her to launch her own beauty brand…
Her beauty philosophy
“Keep it natural, safe and affordable. Growing up, my mother always applied haldi on my face or instructed me to scrub it with malai. It’s the knowledge of these time-tested beauty rituals that catapulted me to launching my brand.”

The birth of her brand
“It all began with my friends sending me food during the lockdown and as a barter, I gave them face scrubs and hair masks. Like everyone, I had a lot of time in hand then and so I perfected different combinations of ingredients and tested out products on them and myself. They really liked the products and that response led to the launch of TLC Locally Yours. Our product range consists of preservative-free face packs and scrubs and hair masks that are full of ingredients like green tea, cacao, spirulina, rice, tomato, sandalwood, wheatgrass, mango, beetroot–the list is endless.”

“Cacao Bliss, it’s a mask that has cacao (obviously) and oats. Other favourites include a Matcha face mask that brightens and tightens skin, SOS which is a rice face scrub and Candy Crush, a sugar body scrub.”
