Once you’ve sat through a zillion hour-long traffic jam watching your nails grow, trust us, any form of distraction is welcome. Fortunately, our morning Instagram stupor was broken by a pertinent question: Why is everyone headed to Switzerland? And more importantly, how do we get in on the action?
Kareena Kapoor Khan bundled up her controversy-ridden husband, Saif and their son Taimur on an impromptu getaway to her all-time favourite holiday spot, Gstaad in Switzerland. “I’m not a back-packer; I’m a luxury traveller. I like to relax and shop when on a vacation and am completely cut off from the city,” she revealed as she introduced her seven-month-old son to the many joys of snow-capped mountain views and room service.
Unfortunately, if she was looking for some alone time away from the shutterbugs, this may not have been the best time of the year. The ongoing Swiss Open is drawing A-listers by the limousine-load; and who else should join her in Gstaad but fellow new momma, Lisa Haydon. Of course, Lisa’s itinerary involves hitting the tennis court with champion Leander Paes as the backdrop, so there’s a good chance that the duo will be able to carry on with their respective itineraries without interruption.
