Chanel launches pop-up shop
With its Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection in tow, Chanel is in Aspen to set up an “ephemeral boutique” (read: a pop-up shop) – and you have until July 6 to visit.
Located on the second floor of the Casa Tua mountainside resort and club, the brand’s Wild West-inspired Pre-fall 2014 collection is on display for a period of 10 days. As you walk into the store – or should we say saloon – a lit-up Chanel sign with a red Texas star welcomes you. The rustic space has been transformed to capture the spirit of the collection, with vintage cowboy photographs tacked to the slate-grey walls, indigenous printed rugs spread out on the wooden floors and navy and red flags propped up behind the mannequins.
Browse the racks filled with flowy gowns, straight skirts, ponchos, cocktail dresses, and yes, even their headdresses. Go on; slip on a cape and hit the slopes. The Rocky Mountains await.
