Suneet Varma will be showing his Spring Couture 2015 line at LFW this evening. And it takes inspiration from all parts of India. In the collection titled Decorative Arts of India, you’ll find mirror work from Gujarat, bright hues of fuchsia and magenta from Rajasthan, and also, shades of ivory and aari embroidery. You wont miss the flowy anarkalis, or the corset zardosis even. Expect corset blouses, tunics studded with Swarovski crystals, cropped jackets and dhoti salwars too. “India has had a centuries old love affair with couture or made to measure for pleasure,” says Varma. “There is no denying the beauty of one-off embellished wedding attire and the sparkle of personalised jewels that are made to match with it.”
