Chef Dharshan Munidasa of Ministry of Crab to host a pop-up meal at Cheval Blanc Randheli

As part of its Chinese New Year celebrations, the Cheval Blanc Randheli in Maldives, along with Chef Dharshan Munidasa, is set to create a truly memorable experience for its guests. Munidasa is the founder and chef of Sri Lanka’s famed restaurant, Ministry of Crab, which often finds a place in Asia’s top 50 restaurants.

Munidasa is collaborating with the director of culinary at Cheval Blanc Randheli, Chef Sebastien Lefort, for a gala dinner by the pool on February 4. The celebrated chef will then introduce his menu on February 5, for a pop-up dinner on the beach. Knowing his penchant for fresh ingredients, we’re sure it’s going to be a visual treat and a culinary delight. At the Ministry of Crab, he places emphasis on crab raised locally in the Sri Lankan lagoon. This ensures a short distribution channel, leading to a unique burst of flavour in each dish. Munidasa was born in Japan, and takes inspiration from the native culture to create his signature cooking style.

The Noonu Atoll, where Cheval Blanc Randheli is located, might be one of the closest Maldives Islands to Sri Lanka and this is one of many reasons the luxury property is excited to work with Munidasa.
