Chopard hosts another fabulous do
The luxury brand recreates the glamour of movie sets at their latest Cannes party
As the official partner of the 67th Cannes Film Festival, it’s no surprise that Chopard hosts some of the most exclusive soirées. This time, the Swiss brand sought inspiration from Hollywood’s movie sets at their ‘Backstage Cinema’ themed party, Guests were transported into the celluloid world, as they travelled from one movie set to another within the Cannes-Mandelieu aerodrome.
The night started with a spectacular dinner for 200 select guests, served underneath a recreated plane. As the folk rock sounds of German-Nigerian singer Ayo provided the musical notes for the evening, guests were invited to peruse a photography exhibit dedicated to the famous Cinecittà studios in Rome, and all the magic it created.
The excitement continued with a fashion show inspired by the golden age of Italian Cinema. A host of top models, including Eva Herzigova, Adriana Lima, Petra Nemkova, Alessandra Ambrosio, Liu Wen and Arlenis Sosa, flaunted baubles from Chopard’s Red Carpet collection and the latest haute couture from Elie Saab’s ateliers. And finally, ending the night with a bang, was the last installment of Chopard’s ‘Backstage Cinema’ party. Guests were led into a rainforest – a tropical Garden of Eden, where they partied the night away to the sounds of renowned Kool & Gang group.
We spotted Colin Firth, Sonam Kapoor, Coco Rocha, Suki Waterhouse, Selita Ebanks and Harvey Weinstein.
