Sanjana Batra, stylist to stars like Kalki Koechlin, Huma Qureshi and Esha Gupta, admits to a weakness for the girlie things, but minus the saccharine sweetness.
“I love incorporating trending wardrobe pieces that help push the envelope and add edginess to the look. It could be ’70s-style flared denims (that have now made a comeback in a huge way), a cape blazer, fringe waistcoats or culottes—I love incorporating these into my looks and the looks I put together for my clients!”
She was featured on Ogaan.com’s blog, The Circle, which will feature the best in the biz in its ‘Stylist Diaries’ series. Batra tried on pieces from the latest collections in the online store by Kavita Bhartia, Anamika Khanna, Payal Singhal, Ikai, Peachoo and Nikasha. She accessorised with chunky, oversized pieces by Neelum Narang, Zariin and Ritika Sachdeva. But her favourite from the shoot was the cascading lattice earrings by St Erasmus.
