If you are living our dream and currently getting that natural tan by the beach in Goa, we have some food news for you! Known for its ability to appease your taste buds, Goa brings you yet another culinary experience at Ahilya by the Sea. Famed chef Rahul Akerkar of Qualia brings his fine touch with food to the heart of North Goa. Gear up for ten days of unparalleled taste curated by the father of modern ingredient-focused cuisine in India, coupled with breathtaking views.
Heavenly sundowners are probably one of the finest things Goa has to offer and so, with the drinks and nibbles served at this property, you can expect to have the time of your life! Capturing the essence of the menu Chef Rahul says, “I like playing with local flavours and ingredients. But the dishes on the menu are influenced by a bunch of different places. For instance, there’s a banana flower ragout that’s based on a dish I once had in Kerala.” Family recipes have a special place in our hearts and chef Rahul plays on this sentiment by bringing flavours from his ménage. “My father’s family is from a village in Sawantwadi, just north of Goa. And the kind of cooking they do is similar to the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin cooking common to Goan households. So, my Ajji’s kairi curry is based on something my grandmother would make. But I am pairing it here with a pan-seared grouper.” With the menu changing on a day-to-day basis relying on the fresh, local ingredients that can be found each day, the experience is one which is truly in tune with nature.
So, indulge in the incredible taste of chef Rahul Akerkar’s craft with the gentle sounds of the sea and the warmth of Ahilya.
