Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan staged a royal photo shoot last night

Right before they set out to attend Aamir Khan's epic Diwali bash, Kareena Kapoor Khan and her Nawab of Pataudi husband, Saif Ali Khan, decided to stage a mini photo shoot at home. After all, Kareena was dressed in a stunning champagne and gold Tarun Tahiliani couture sharara from the designer's archives, set off by a matching jewellery set from Shri Hari Diagems. Saif wasn't looking too shabby himself, kitted out in a classic kurta set from Raghavendra Rathore.

The mini shoot was shot by upcoming photographer Tiana Kamte, and orchestrated by the couple's stylist Tanya Ghavri. 

Fans of this blue-blooded liaison will recognise the homage to the couple's wedding photo, where Kareena wore the traditional gharara handed down to her by her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore, and restored under the watchful eye of designer Ritu Kumar. The couple's much-photographed toddler, Taimur Ali Khan, wasn't around for the festivities.
