Date night? You can’t go wrong with PDA in Delhi

The ingredients of a date night are, but not limited to, romantic ambience, food that will get conversation started and cocktails to keep it going well past the witching hour. Which is why you’ll spot so many couples gazing into each other’s eyes over the tables at PDA, Delhi’s hip bar in GK II.

With Ritu Dalmia crafting the food menu and Eeshan Kashyap dreaming up bar offering, you know you’re in good hands. “Delhi has recently had a burgeoning of large-scale restaurants and bars, all that compete for price. At PDA, we wanted to focus on quality — excellent cocktails and brilliant food, along with introducing the city to the concept of aperitivo,” explains Kashyap, adding, “We wanted to create an intimate space with a distinctly easy, Italian flair that stands for —for equality, love and freedom.”

Cue the pride flag painted on a wall and whimsical names on the cocktail menu encouraging you to keep drinking.

The Happy Hickey

Gin lovers will take pleasure in ‘First Kiss’, a fun twist on the classic blending sweet and herbaceous botanical notes that open up the gin, topped with perrier for extra fizz. We’re not sure what your date’s reaction to hearing you order a ‘One Night Stand’ will be, but your tastebuds won’t complain. The decadent cocktail is PDA’s reinterpretation of the Zombie, first invented in Hollywood. Three layers of rum — white, gold and dark — collide in this heady mix, so ensure your liver can take the knock.

If vodka is your poison of choice, the Happy Hickey’s mix of vodka, passion fruit, cayenne pepper and sparkling wine promises, in Kashyap’s words, “to inspire the libido.”

You know what to do.
