We are willing to bet good money that each time Deepika flashes those criminal abs onscreen, gym memberships clock in a 50% spike. Minimum. But the lady insists that her own fitness routine is completely at the mercy of her work schedule.

“When I’m in Bombay I have my daily routine of going to the gym and I’ll do Pilates or functional training. But when I’m working – like I’m shooting a song right now [for Padmavati] and I’ll be dancing for more than 12 hours daily, then I need to find a way to open up the body. So I’ll hop on to the treadmill in the gym in my building, even if just for 5 minutes, work up a sweat and then do my stretching,” she explains.

What about those precious few days she steals away from work? “On holiday, I swim, I cycle, I walk. For me it’s a lifestyle, I don’t feel burdened by it. It makes me feel great,” she raves. Apologies if that haunts you during your holiday binge. Goodbye, second dessert helpings.
