She took a risk with a bright yellow Ralph Lauren gown for the Golden Globes after party this year and it paid off, with her inspiring all of us to give yellow a chance this season. But not all adventures end with an assured spot on the best dressed list, as she learned with her Monsiha Jaising outfit at the MTV EMAs. The look had people divided, some LOVED it while others bayed for the stylist’s blood.
In a recent interview with InStyle, Deepika opened up about the much-debated look and said, “I’m aware that it was a departure for me, but part of the red carpet game is to take risks. sometimes people love it, and sometimes people hate. I felt like a million bucks, so it doesn’t matter how anyone else reacted.”
Seems like Deepika is taking cue from Taylor Swift in learning how to deal with haters.
