Deepika Padukone gets lucky with her new Madame Tussauds wax statue
We've seen some real disasters in the past
After Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone is the latest Bollywood celebrity to unveil her wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds museums. Deepika’s statue for the London museum has been in the works since July last year. Husband Ranveer Singh, dad Prakash Padukone, mom Ujjala Padukone and in-laws Anju and Jagjit Singh Bhavnani accompanied the actor to London for her big moment. In an Instagram live stream, Deepika’s excitement was palpable while Ranveer can be heard asking, “Can I take her home?”

The artists from Madame Tussauds had taken over 200 specific measurements and photographs of Deepika to create a likeness. Deepika definitely got lucky. We’ve seen some real disasters in the past.
Celebrity wax statues that went horribly, horribly wrong
Aren't there any kind of laws that prevent the creation of blasphemous works of art?
We apologise in advance for the image of the world's most liked talk show host that cannot be unseen.
If the clearly marked sign at the Hollywood Waxworks in Los Angeles didn't declare this to be Jennifer Garner, we'd never have made the connection on our own.
The stern expression on her face or the awkward mid-dance pose, take your pick.
The blonde hair that hangs limply down a face that's missing the chiselled features of Chris Hemsworth is just the tip of everything that is wrong with this figure.
The Kill 'Em With Kindness singer's wax figure would be appropriate for the Bride of Chuckysequel.
The problem with this figure is not that it doesn't resemble Oprah. The problem lies with the fact that it makes her look like a terrifying other dimension version of herself.
You may argue that Kween K looks like a wax statue in real life. Which is what makes this wax statue fail even more surprising.
This deserves a special place in wax figure hell for the horrifying recreation of Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu in the classic Charlie's Angels pose.
Even if you're not a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan, you have to admit that the wax figure is a grave injustice to the star.
Katrina Kaif's wax figure isn't as bad as some of the others on this list. But it fails to capture the Baar Baar Dekho actress' distinct features and ends up looking like a generic Caucasian model from a Bollywood dance-off video.
Sofia Vergara might look super excited about her wax twin but we will never look at the Modern Family star the same way again.
Ranveer Singh skipped the unveiling ceremony of his first ever wax statue at Musée Grévin in Paris, and do you blame him for wanting to put at least a continent between himself and this Annabelle-esque wax replica? While the 32-year-old worked off the ghosts with a late night ride with Deepika Padukone in his new Aston Martin, the internet understandably went up in arms on his behalf.
