Deepika Padukone's big night at the MTV EMAs 2016

If we woke up as Deepika Padukone today… we’d probably go right back to sleep and relive the perfection that was her appearance at the MTV EMA 2016. After leaving us gasping for breath with the trailer of xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Padukone channelled her inner huntress for this year’s edition of the MTV European Music Awards. It all started out when she was spotted in this floral Balenciaga jersey dress (Heads up: it’s available at Le Mill) as she jetted off to Rotterdam.

Nothing could have prepared us though for the impact of Padukone in an edgy 3D embellished bustier and bomber jacket. And can we please talk about how she worked that thigh-high slit?

The custom outfit was born out of a special collaboration between ace couturier Monisha Jaising and Padukone’s stylist, Shaleena Nathani. “Military green is a functional and strong colour. It has a tough, almost androgynous appeal for all of those women warriors out there! Deepika is unstoppable, fit and fierce; making a perfect muse for my Artemisia Gown,” says Jaising.

Due credit to those fringe earrings from Valliyan that we are itching to get our hands on.
