is Born in a city called Rudrapur in Uttarakhand, model Dipti Sharma now calls New York City her home and is a globe-trotter. An avid viewer of FashionTV when she was younger, Sharma says she just knew she belonged on the runway. Since then, not only has she walked the ramp for iconic fashion houses such as Michael Kors, Alexander Wang and Dries Van Noten, but was also the first-ever Indian model to be a part of a Balenciaga campaign. A firm believer in never giving up till you achieve what you set out to do, one of her favourite fashion moments this year, has been wearing a sari on the Dolce & Gabbana runway. “No matter who you are, where you come from or how hard it seems, the power of constantly trying and never backing down is what worked out for me and it will work out for everyone out there who is willing to give it a chance,” she says.
