What makes DLF Mall of India a retail paradise

Finding everything in one place isn’t simply a challenge, it’s often an impossible feat. Whether you intend to shop for one-of-a-kind clothing, buy beautiful home goods or eat your heart out at a trendy café or restaurant, DLF Mall of India does indeed have it all. In a day’s trip, one can find the best of the best at this mainstay shopping destination—all without scrambling through different spots in the city.

SHOP TILL YOU DROP

Being in South Delhi shouldn’t stop you from savouring everything at the iconic 7-storey shopping hub. Yes, India’s largest mall is located in the heart of Noida, but one can now reach this suburb within 20 minutes from South Delhi via the Delhi-Noida-Delhi (DND) flyover. There are ample options for everyone as there are as many as 380 international and Indian boutique brands to choose from. So if you are what you buy then let it be the best.

To check out the mall’s contemporary offerings, ELLE India took blogger Kritika Khurana, who popularly goes by the moniker That Boho Girl, on a shopping spree. Kritika was looking to buy a couple of things for her next vacation. She had to pick outfits that would help her travel light yet make her look instantly effortless in her holiday photos. Along with this, Kritika, a discerning shopper, had to find a birthday present as well. There was little time and a lot of shopping to do. But, this is what the young blogger discovered.

STROLL THROUGH STYLE

The mall is lined with many hip fashion stores—ones that let you pick ensembles that are versatile, arty, eye-catching and so Instagrammable. The range of clothes and accessories at Forever New, for instance, were perfect for day-time dressing as they were for an evening out. Many of their dresses were feminine, fun and immaculately tailored. The Australian brand had decidedly elegant interiors and a responsive staff that made the whole experience so easy.

The stop for shoes was the all-popular footwear brand, Charles & Keith. The minimalist interiors of the Australian brand were elevated by shoes, bags and sunglasses that were trendy, affordable and designed with a close attention to detail. The affordable collection was made for intelligent customers who’re in sync with runway reports. Other than this, brands like GAS and Promod had their iterations for everyday-wear, from classic T-shirts and denims to timeless blouses and skirts.

High-end establishments like Armani Exchange let everyone get a slice of the iconic Italian house. Sweatshirts emblazoned with the recognisable Armani logo, puffer jackets that can make for perfect travel companions and shirts that showcase the tailoring expertise of the brand—one could witness how heritage can seem contemporary at this store. At Antony Morato, another brand rooted in Italian style and culture, one could find designs that marry authenticity with innovation. A walk through across the mall helped Kritika look at a plethora of other alternatives, from the comfortable footwear at Crocs to the cute merchandise of the omnipresent Chinese brand Miniso.

LIVE IT UP

A stopover at Parcos, the luxury cosmetic and fragrance store, exposed Kritika to a seamless selection of fragrances. One could find brands like Elizabeth Arden, Davidoff, Bvlgari, Marc Jacobs and many more under one roof. The experts at Parcos helped her understand the scents better, making the otherwise frantic task of choosing fragrances into something truly distinctive and worthwhile.

One could find solutions to all their modern-day needs at DLF Mall of India. From salons like Affinity to keep you pampered to home stores with unparalleled aesthetics, the Noida-based mall is truly a retail paradise. Other than so many international brands, the mall is also home to many homegrown labels. Ancestry was one of them. An ode to India’s rich tradition of crafts, the brand has a contemporary take on these erstwhile art forms that are fit for urban consumers.

BON APPÉTIT

After spending so much time shopping, one needs a break. And, the best way to unwind is to spend your time relishing your favourite food. DLF Mall of India has the only parlour for Naturals ice-cream. So those looking for the perfect scoop of rich, silky sorbets can make a quick stopover at Naturals.

The mall, spread across 2 million square feet, has several other eateries as well. Buzzy bistros, coffee shops and fine-dining restaurants— there are so many places perfect for all kinds of occasions, from celebratory milestones to pizzerias perfect for a late-night meal.

With so much to offer, DLF Mall of India is irrefutably the only destination in Delhi NCR that’s so aspirational. There’s fashion, food and everything that supports the idea of the good life. So, what are you waiting for?
