DSquared2 is all set to launch a new fragrance. Dean and Dan Caten, founders of the label, say Want is for ballsy, independent, no-nonsense women. They get that not every woman wants a floral-fruity perfume. So they’re giving us one that’s much stronger. They describe it to WWD as something that starts ”with top notes of mandarin, ginger and pink pepper, and follows with a heart of damask rose, heliotrope and neroli, over a warm drydown of Madagascar vanilla, with an absolute vanilla accord and notes of violet wood.” It’s been created by Aurélien Guichard of the luxury perfume makers Givaudan. (From the posts on Instagram we can’t help but wonder if Dutch model Rianne ten Haken is the face of the new fragrance.) We can also look forward to Want body washes, lotions and deodorants – all of which will be available in Asia early next year.
