Legendary British denim brand Pepe Jeans London announces Dua Lipa as their new brand ambassador. The 23-year-old who is currently one of the most successful musical artists and a style icon, will be seen in the Spring/Summer 2019 campaign for the brand. A take on strength, natural beauty, and timeless denims, the campaign, as well as the collection featuring Lipa is a celebration of the heritage of Pepe Jeans—one of the first British brands to bring a distinctive style to denim.

Dua Lipa, had taken the music world by storm with her strong and powerful voice. After releasing her self-titled debut album in 2017, she made history with her nominations in five categories at the 2018 Brit Awards—the first female artist to do so. In the last two years, she has also become the most streamed female artist in the world. Continuing to break records, the music video for her hit single ‘New Rules’ became the anthem for women empowerment, and has garnered over a billion views on YouTube—making her the youngest female artist to hit this target. And the hits keep coming with Lipa who won two Grammys for “Best New Artist” and “Best Dance Recording” with Silk City for their massive hit “Electricity” at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards and the award for “Best British Single” for her track “One Kiss”, with Calvin Harris at the 2019 Brits Awards.

Both Pepe Jeans and Dua Lipa have become symbols of idiosyncratic British style, making them the perfect match for each other in more ways than one.
