Back to school or back to business, you tell us

There are lots of momentous (and well-documented occasions) in the British royal family, but we’d have to say that very few of them are as cute as when a young royal embarks on their first day of school.

In 2017, Prince William went solo with Prince George, when Kate Middleton was pregnant. But the whole family (minus Prince Louis) was together this time around, for Princess Charlotte’s very first day of school and Prince George’s return at Thomas’s Battersea in London this Thursday.

While the kids looked adorable in their polished school uniforms, we had our eye on Middleton’s fresh new haircut and colour.

Like many of us, it seems Kate too, had been inspired by the new season, sporting a lighter, warmer hair colour, rich in honey-toned highlights. As opposed to the rich brunette look she’d been sticking to this summer, this shade lands more on the auburn side, and has plenty of highlights. The Duchess opted for a lovely, ankle-length, floral Michael Kors dress (which is now sold out) and navy pumps, to escort the little princess to school.

The morning light reflected beautifully on Middleton’s hair, which was worn down, styled with her signature bouncy blow-dry, which we all know and adore.
