ELLE Beauty Awards 2014
Everything you need to know about the glamorous affair

It was a night when the country’s biggest beauty stars shone brightest, with an audience of some of the most prolific names in the industry. The eighth edition of the ELLE Beauty Awards wrapped up on October 1, 2014, with much fanfare and festivities.
The highlights of the night – the winning products – were showcased through six thrilling Bond-themed short movies, under the categories: make-up, skincare, hair care, body care, fragrances and men’s products. The hosts for the evening, Theron D’Souza and Neha Sareen, kept guests entertained with their witty banter between sequences.
Lakmé took home the first place trophy with a total of six wins through categories, including Skin Gloss Overnight Mask and Absolute Face Stylist Foundation. A close second was L’Oréal Paris, with five winning products, including their 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Oil. Clinique and Chanel tied at third place with four product wins each. All winners took their certificates back in briefcases – Bond style – created specially for the purpose by our bespoke partner, Da Milano.
For the first time ever, ELLE introduced two new awards – ELLE Beauty Awards 2014 in association with Jabong Blogger of the Year and Digital Campaign – a nod to the inventive, ever-growing digital space. Devina Malhotra of Guiltybytes.com took home the stunning black crystal trophy as the Blogger of the Year, while Maybelline New York bagged the Digital Campaign award.
Guests enjoyed a delicious spread by hospitality partner, Sofitel Luxury Hotels, chased down with martinis, Myra wines and Kingfisher Ultra beer; clicked selfies with their favourite Bond at the photo booth; and danced late into the night. Here are a few glimpses from the evening.
