What’s with international brands like Sephora and now Gap taking so long to get to Mumbai after they’ve launched in India? Oh right, the stupidly expensive real estate here. Well, the casual wear brand that’s as American as apple pie will make up for lost time by opening two huge outlets in the city, on February 20, in Oberoi Mall, Goregaon and Infiniti Mall, Malad.
Loved for its comfy denims, classic tees and logo hoodies, the label will launch in Mumbai with its spring/summer line for women, men, kids and infants (Instagram idea: #thuglife pic of baby in hoodie omg). Expect to find humidity-friendly pieces like cotton tees, short shorts, slouchy tanks, floral print frocks and girlfriend khakis. Plus, all-season staples like workout gear (Gapfit), pajamas (Gapbody) and underthings, like bras and camis, in the typical Gap rainbow of shades
