Every year, ELLE’s fashion experts begin their task of picking the most promising new acts in Indian fashion. Known as the ELLE Graduates, this unique platform allows the talent and unbridled potential of young designers to be celebrated by the whole fashion industry, with one name winning the chance to showcase at the Who’s Next trade show in Paris. This year, a talented mix of six labels creating womenswear, menswear, Indianwear and jewellery have made it to the finals.

Meet the ELLE Graduates 2016

Antar-Agni by Ujjawal Dubey

Designer Ujjawal Dubey calls his label Antar-Agni 'as raw and natural as it gets'. After presenting his collection at Lakme Fashion Week in 2014, the NIFT Kolkata graduate gained a reputation for his understanding of different textiles and unstructured silhouettes. His drapery skills have won him fans from Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor to Ayushmann Khurrana.

P.E.L.L.A

Designer Priyanka Ella Lorena Lama is a strong believer of the Wabi-sabi school of thought, which has led her to believe that imperfections lead us to appreciate the beauty of natural objects and processes more. This is the key philosophy behind her androgyny-inspired label P.E.L.L.A.

Silvense

With Vrindaa Ashwani's jewellery, you should expect the unexpected. From headgear to cuffs and necklaces that could easily double up as body armour, the pieces are simple in structure yet make a powerful statement.
