It hasn’t been long since Lana Del Rey gave us ‘West Coast’, but already we have London-based electronic musician Four Tet’s remix doused in drum beats. And remember when MIA defied her label and dropped an (almost unrecognisable) refix of Beyoncé’s ‘Flawless’, when the folks over at camp Bey refused to respond? She dubbed it ‘Baddygirl 2’. Yet, it’s a tribute to Bey, sampling a bit of ‘Diva’ and ‘Run the World’. There’s also Lorde’s ‘Tennis Court’ with a choppy do-over from Flume, the Australian downtempo electronic artist. Let’s not leave Rita Ora out of this – English DJ and producer Switch has given us a perfectly dance-worthy mix of ‘I Will Never Let You Down’.
Here’s a little playlist of our favourites at the mo.
