1. Zendaya Is The Chosen Recipient of CFDA’s Fashion Icon Award For 2021
It comes as no surprise that Zendaya is receiving the prestigious fashion icon award by CFDA this year. She has dominated every single red carpet she made an appearance on – From Oscar’s to Emmy’s, the Euphoria star showed up in distinctive looks that stole the show. Besides her impactful physical appearances, she has also been the representative for brands like Lancôme, Bulgari, Tommy Hilfiger and Valentino.
2. Balenciaga replaces Gucci as the most searched brand on Lyst
According to the most recent Lyst index, Balenciaga climbed the ladder and dethroned Gucci from the most searched brand spot. After an eventful year that included a collaboration with The Simpsons, headlining ensembles for Met Gala and extravagant in-person shows, we saw the 5 spot jump coming from afar.
3. For YSL’s 60th Anniversary, The Late Couturier’s Creations Will Be Displayed At 6 Different Museums In Paris
To honour Yves Saint Laurent’s 60 years of legacy, the iconic french house is displaying the late couturier’s timeless pieces at different museums in Paris – alongside some of the artworks that inspired them. Paris Museum of Modern Art, the Louvre Museum, the Picasso Museum and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in the French capital will all be a part of the exhibition.
4. Former Versace Chief Executive, Jonathan Akeroyd Is The New CEO Of Burberry
Burberry appointed Jonathan Akeroyd as its next CEO in a hefty 6 million euros deal as a signing amount. The former Versace Chief Executive has an expansive portfolio as he has worked for luxury giants like Michael Kors and Alexander McQueen.
