1. Dior For Paris Saint-Germain

Dior’s Creative Director Kim Jones isn’t new to celebrity partnerships—his recent collaboration with rapper Travis Scott for a collection made headlines for days. This time around, the head honcho at Dior will officially design the wardrobe for the French football club, Paris Saint-Germain. A squad that has no dearth of star players and has recently welcomed G.O.A.T. Lionel Messi in their ranks, will now be sharply dressed, and by one of the oldest french couture houses no less!
2. Nensi Dojaka Won The 2021 LVMH Prize

Albanian women’s wear designer Nensi Dojaka, who rose to fame with her risqué sheer designs has won the LVMH prize for young designers this year. Nensi was amongst the 9 finalists and as a reward, she will receive 300,000 Euros, along with a year of mentoring from experts within the luxury group. Celebrities Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa and Kaia Gerber wear her ensembles; she also has a serious clientele in young millennials and Gen-Z buyers who identify with her avant-garde creations.
3. Designers Pay Tribute to Alber Elbaz

Last year, Moroccan designer Alber Elbaz passed away at the age of 59 from Covid-19. As a homage to the creative visionary, the fashion industry is coming together to pay their tributes by creating looks inspired by his body of work. The showcase will be organised by his label A-Z Factory at the Paris Fashion Week, and renowned names such as Maria Grazia Chiuri, Nicolas Ghesquière, Demna Gvasalia, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Rick Owens are expected to participate.
4. Satya Paul Launched A New Concept Store In Delhi

Popular sari label Satya Paul opened its latest concept store in New Delhi, under the leadership of Creative Director Rajesh Pratap Singh. The new space displays a blend of distinct materials that add an eclectic element to the store—think tinted glass, gunmetal fixtures and contemporary ‘jaali’. The design philosophy of the outlet partly remains true to the label’s trademark aesthetic while also shaking up things a bit by including modern and contemporary components.
5. PLI Scheme Approved For The Textile Sector
The Union Cabinet has sanctioned an incentive-led scheme for the textiles sector. The PLI (Performance Linked Incentive) scheme will focus on increasing the manufacturing power of man-made fibres and technical textiles to grow investment and job availability in the sector. A grand budget of Rs. 10,683 crore has been allocated for over a period 5 years.
