Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort ’16 has finally come to an end. It was a week full of beautiful fashion, both on and off the ramp. Rohit Bal was the grand finale designer; we’re talking stunning couture on a ramp set in one of Mumbai’s oldest colleges (St.Xaviers) with Kareena Kapoor Khan as his showstopper – what’s not to love? Make-up expert Natasha Nischol of Fat Mu created the look for the show. The designer wanted to marry old world beauty with the theme: illuminate, so she put together an elegant look to match the brief. Here’s the complete low-down:
The skin:
“We went for fresh skin with a gold, illuminated glow followed by a sculpted contour, and skipped the blush.”
The eyes:
“We created a green and black smoky eye with the Lakmé Illuminate Gold Eyeshadow Palette. We added hints of glitter on the inner and outer corners of the eyes to accentuate the feature.”
The lips:
“For the lips we used a nude rust lipstick from Lakmé‘s Illuminate range called Tropical Shine.”
The nails:
“We kept the nails simple with a nude polish.”
