Live a fashionable life

Have your morning tea in a cup and saucer from Christian Lacroix; let your brunch be in lavish Sabyasachi plates; wear ultra-comfy Versace bathrobes after a hot shower; sleep in Roberto Cavalli bed sheets and luxurious Missoni duvets; decorate your living room with Roberto Cavalli lamps… you get the gist.

The quintessence of fashion is truly felt when you’re living and breathing it, for it’s only when you live like luxury that life becomes fashionable. And that’s exactly what these designers who ventured into homeware and décor lines want for you. While Gucci announced its first-ever décor collection earlier this year, Indian fashion designers Pallavi Jaikishan, Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Raghavendra Rathore, Sabyasachi and J.J. Valaya have all expanded into home décor, either through collaborations or through stand-alone stores.

If your home needs a makeover—or even if it doesn’t—here are 10 fashion designers who have created stunning home and décor collections that will lend nothing but grandeur to your home.

10 fashion brands with equally fashionable home décor lines:

Georgio Armani takes forward his sartorial sensibilities and manifests a sophisticated line of home collection that ranges from furniture to accessories, textiles and decorative objects. Launched over 15 years ago, Armani/Casa doesn't take to seasonal trends—its continual inspiration comes from the 30s, 40s, and the cultures of Far East. Contemporary and classic—that's how we would define it.

This year at Salone del Mobile, the Milan furniture show, creative director J.W. Anderson exhibited Loewe's first furniture collection called This Is Home, in collaboration with English artist Mouse Man. “I see this collection as a collage made up of different influences. I like the idea that fashion can invade a house and bring together different artisans to create completely new forms with different materials within the same home,” said Anderson

Christian Lacroix

The Parisian label, known for its colourful and baroque style, launched its homeware line after successfully establishing itself as a fashion brand. Today, the line features furnishing, wallpapers, porcelain tableware, stationery and even mobile accessories.
