Fashion’s philanthropic side

Guilt-free indulgence? Turns out, there is such a thing. And it’s studded with rubies, sapphires and diamonds. Shop Farah Khan Ali’s charm bracelet and you’ve got yourself a nifty accessory as well as some major karma points.

Make A Wish Foundation enlisted the jewellery designer, along with others like Anamika Khanna, Sabyasachi and Abu Jaani and Sandeep Khosla and Nirav Modi to create their own interpretations of teddy bears for its Gift a Teddy fundraiser.

Ali’s  ‘Chord of Love’, features six charms – the boy and girl charms stand for innocence, the teddy symbolises comfort, the tree of life represents longevity, the evil eye as protection from negativity and the red heart is for love. Her’s is the only creation available for purchase (in stores and online); the others were auctioned.
With only 50 pieces up for grabs, you’ve got to make a beeline for this cause.
