Shadow and light, artist and muse, instant and infinite: The new Chanel No. 5 L’Eau film stars the enchanting Lily-Rose Depp, set against the premise ‘You know me and you don’t’. Depp flits in and out of the screen against a riot of colours in different incarnations; we don’t blame you hitting replay more than twice. Directed by Johan Renck, the film is a fitting toast to the many paradoxes that the modern woman embodies. The iconic No 5 has received its share of pixie dust too, and now boasts of a fresh mix of green jasmine swirled with rose.
