Veteran designer Kavita Bhartia, behind the multi-brand store Ogaan, has given many young designers a leg up in the industry over the last 25 years.
At Amazon India Fashion Week, Bhartia will showcase a line inspired by 18th century tapestries and damasks, from the archives of Victoria & Albert Museum. (Think lots of pretty florals!)
The line features voluminous full skirts, prim pleated skirts, textured yarn crop tops and dresses. And she plays with fabrics like silk, silk crepe, organza, tulle and printed scuba knits. Expect a colour palette that covers everything from rouge pink, deep navy, ivory to pale blues.
