First look: Raghavendra Rathore’s line

Designer Raghavendra Rathore returns to the runway, with three three capsule collections. The show starts with his eponymous bespoke label, and it’s followed by the debut of Rathore’s ready-to-wear line: The Imperial India Company, inspired by the British Raj. And it concludes with an introduction to the work done by the Raghavendra Rathore Foundation, which works closely with artisans to reinvent textiles like khadi, silks and other hand-woven fabrics. “This presentation is a strong attempt in making ‘Made in India’ a prosperous and fashionable sentiment,” says Rathore.

Here’s your first look at the collection. And you can witness the show too, by participating in our contest. Answer this simple question: What is Raghavendra Rathore’s new ready-to-wear line, Imperial India Company, inspired by? Follow @ELLEIndia and @RRathoreCo on Twitter to be eligible. Winners will be announced at 6.00 pm.
