Bollywood on parenting: Five celebrities reveal the lessons they’ve learned
If you’re planning to have a baby or are new parents, advice in any form is always welcome (and inevitable). Here’s what Bollywood recommends when it comes to parenting:
1. Discipline is key
Even when you're a celebrity kid, you need to follow the rules. In Kajol's home, there is only one important one—whatever mom says is right—and her kids have to toe the line.
3. Protect their interests at all times
From the minute he was born, Taimur Ali Khan had the unbelievable and undivided attention of the media. However, both Saif and Kareena have always protected him from this glare, stood up to trolls and fought for the privacy of their son.
4. Spend quality time with your little ones
Hrithik Roshan and Suzzanne Khan have taught us that even divorce doesn't stop you from being a parent. Spending time and going on vacations together with their family is an important part of getting to know your child better and shaping their personally. In an interview, Hrithik mentioned that fatherhood is the most important aspect of his life, and he's committed to it.
5. Become Your Child's BFF
When we look at Shahrukh Khan and his family, we don't see parents and their children but, instead, great bonds of friendship. Shahrukh once said, “I love my children not because they are my children, but because I have garnered a friendship with them. I am realising this...as they are getting older, they are my greatest friends. I think my mental age is between 12 to 14, so it is nice to have two friends that I can ever have.”
