A dusky Indian woman and her ruggedly handsome American paramour meet at a wedding. Together, they explore the bazaars and palaces of Rajasthan. Then they fall in love. Cliched? Yes. But we don’t mind.
The screenplay for Free People’s Spring/Summer campaign, shot by photographer Guy Aroch, may have been inspired by many a crossover film, but we are willing to forgive them for three reasons: the beautiful summer-friendly clothes, American model Thomas Bull and our March cover girl Freida Pinto who looks effortless in bohemian blouses, sheer wraps and flowy dresses. Pinto also features in the stills for Free People’s April ad campaign.
An Indian summer, indeed.
