This is not a drill, the Friends reunion is finally in the works
The one where fans get what they’ve wanted for years
Rachel’s iconic style, Monica’s borderline obsession with cleanliness, Chandler’s witty jokes, Joey’s way with the ladies, Phoebe’s singing skills (or lack thereof) and Ross with his goofy antics: the beloved cast of Friends (and their quirks) almost feels like family at this point. Ask anyone around, and everyone is sure to have their favourite moment from the mega-hit American sitcom which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. There couldn’t have been a better occasion than this for fans of the smashing series to know that a Friends reunion may finally be happening!
If all goes as planned and the deal is sorted out between all parties involved (fingers crossed for that one), the adored cast will be set to return to your screens on HBO Max for an unscripted reunion special, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Featuring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, as well as series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman, it would be an understatement to call the Friends reunion anything less than momentous. After all, we’ve waited to hear about this pretty much ever since the legendary sitcom came to an end in 2004. We’ve lost count of the numerous rumours of the same that has flooded social media in the last few years. All our prayers go out that this news doesn’t fall to the same fate.
In hindsight, perhaps this reunion isn’t surprising, after all. Jennifer Aniston recently took to joining Instagram and shared her first post: a selfie with the iconic cast of Friends. Literally breaking the internet, Aniston made our day, week, month, or even our year.
