Geek chic by Moschino, Torrid
High fashion Super Mario merch and plus-sized Star Wars fashion
Moschino is on a hot streak transforming primary-coloured kindergarten heroes into low brow-high fashion treats. In other words, adults can now channel the style of Barbie, gummy bears or the Powerpuff Girls and not risk being led gently to a padded cell. Creative director Jeremy Scott’s latest kiddie muse is Super Mario Bros. Sweaters, tees, bags and shoes will make up the Super Moschino collection, which will be available online in partnership with Nintendo from December 5, 2015.
If you’re looking for more understated ways to declare your love for a childhood obsession, turn to Torrid. The American retailer for plus-sized fashion (sizes 12 to 28) has a surprisingly work-appropriate (well, some of it anyway) Star Wars themed line of dresses, leggings and sweaters. They even have tees and undies inspired by a galaxy far, far away. That Darth Vader cape dress looks perfect for when you need to save the world and meet friends for drinks later.
