When it comes to make-up, minimal is the way to go during the monsoon. Whether it’s the pouring rain or the excess humidity, you’re bound to find that your heavy duty smokey eye or your deep bold lip melt away eventually. But that doesn’t mean you steer clear from dolling up this season—you just need to go back to the basics. Here’s how you can recreate Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s simple, subtle, yet oh-so-chic make-up look.
STEP 1: The key to achieving this effortless look lies in investing time in your skincare. Make sure you moisturise and nourish your skin properly, before you top it off with any make-up. Massage your skin upwards, either with a day cream, serum, or light face-oil, and prep it for the base. You can even apply a sheet mask prior to application—the residual serum acts like a hydrating primer. Want to go that extra mile? Use a jade roller for twenty minutes to massage the product.

STEP 2: Once your skin is prepped and ready, apply a some colour corrector and concealer to any blemished areas. Blend it with a damp make-up sponge. Spritz a small amount of setting spray to prevent it from transferring. Add a little illuminator to the cheeks for a slight pop.
STEP 3: Tightline your eyes with a waterproof kohl pencil and add a little bit of the illuminator to the inner corners of the eyes. Lightly fill in your brows with a gel-based products.
STEP 4: Apply a nude, dusty pink matte lipstick to complete the look.
