The grand finale of Amazon India Fashion Week 2015, Born In Benares, featured 16 designers, and three cool hairdos inspired by the theme: sculptural braids, marigold studded buns, and top knots with dreadlocks. For the base, make-up expert Elton Fernandez employed a soon-to-launch range of liquid foundations Maybelline Fit Me! Tone + Texture. (PS: It comes highly recommended, so wait for this one to hit stores soon!). The eye make-up though was consistent, minimal and very achievable. “The make-up was just a wash of bronze on the eyelids, blending into the browns and then a soft black,” he says. He executed this with Maybelline Nudes eyeshadow palette. “The kajal lining the eyes is not black – it’s not hard – it’s a brown kajal; there’s hints of mascara; no false lashes. We’ve sculpted the face, but softly. The lips are a soft brown-y pink.”
