Giamba is designer Giambattista Valli’s nickname. It is also the name of his newly announced, ready-to-wear line. Due for a September launch, Giamba represents the other side of the Italian designer. Ten years after launching his eponymous label, Valli believed it was time for something new – a new label to complete the equation, to complement his main and couture lines. And thus, Giamba was born. Drawing from his playful side, the label is being projected as sexy, free-spirited and fresh.
Unlike Valli’s other shows, which are in Paris, the new line will debut at Milan Fashion Week as a tribute to the designer’s homeland. With a star-studded clientele that includes Nicole Kidman, Victoria Beckham, Emma Stone, Diane Kruger and Blake Lively, we can’t wait to see who will be spotted wearing a Giamba creation first.
