Pop the bubbly–glistening, glittering eyes call for an impromptu party

The coolest way to update your colourful eye look this season? Add some sparkle. Backstage, we saw ’70s disco eye make-up resurface, except this time it was served with a slice of new and improved formulas that minimised fallout. There were multiple takes on the trend; some OTT and others very wearable.

At Dries Van Noten, makeup wiz, Peter Philips deemed worn-off shadow acceptable by dressing it up with chunky, multicoloured glitter.

At Halpern, it was all about maximalism, and splotches of red and blue eyeshadow worked as the perfect base for the flecks of foiled gold pigment.

PRO TIP: To prevent fallout, coat your lids with a primer before you add layers of shimmer.
