It’s official – Gwyneth Paltrow is going to design her own clothing line for her website Goop.com in 2015. The site’s CEO, Lisa Gersh and Paltrow revealed the news on their website early this week. Goop has been in the news a lot recently – not for the best of reasons – after it was slammed by lifestyle heavyweight Martha Stewart, and after Paltrow and her husband of 11 years, Chris Martin, announced that they were “consciously uncoupling” on the website.
This isn’t the first fashion venture for Goop, as Paltrow has previously gotten designer pals like Stella McCartney, Michael Kors and Diane Von Furstenberg to create limited-edition designs exclusively for Goop. There’s little information available about the line so far, but many are speculating that based on her past fashion collaborations and her own personal style, that the range will be full of wardrobe basics with clean, simple silhouettes set in neutral tones. And that’s not all the actress/lifestyle guru has planned for the website; the brand also plans to expand into the beauty and home goods segment in the future.
