After the posters, the makers of Gully Boy have shared a teaser to announce the trailer release date of the movie.

The film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, is inspired by the lives of Indian rappers Naezy and Divine (Naved Shaikh and Vivian Fernandez originally). The rappers went viral in 2015 with their song Mere Gully Mein, and went on to gather more popularity with their music, primarily about growing up in the slums of Mumbai and their struggle. The movie stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin.
Why we’re excited
This is the first time we’re going to see Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt together. If their chemistry from the MakeMyTrip commercials is anything to go by, Gully Boy is going to be super exciting to watch. This is also the first time Zoya Akhtar is working with Alia Bhatt. The movie also debuts Ranveer’s impressive rapping skills, something we got a look at during Priyanka Chopra’s wedding reception late last year:

After Dil Dhadakne Do, this is the second time Ranveer is going to work with Zoya Akhtar.
The movie has also been selected for a special screening at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival in February.

Trailer release date
The full trailer of the movie will release on 9th January 2019, while the movie is slated to release on 14th February 2019. We can’t wait!
