After Kendall Jenner and Pepsi tried to co-opt the Black Lives Matter movement in an ad that was 100% cringe, beer brand Heineken decided to step in to teach the world how it's done. In its new viral campaign, pairs of strangers are recruited to participate in a social experiment. What they don't know is that their new partner in this experiment has radically different political views.
These strangers are then made to interact with each other through a series of ice-breaking and bonding activities. Through these, they slowly learn more details about their partner's life. Watch the full video to see what happens when their differences are brought to light.

While it’s not easy to encompass such complex issues in an ad, it’s a well-intentioned attempt to provide a solution in a time when even Facebook arguments reach nuclear levels. Heineken's new ad is clearly what the tone-deaf Pepsi commercial was aspiring to be. And more.
