This week, we’re grateful to Netflix for treating us to a teaser and a sneak peek of Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II for her role in The Crown season three. Colman will take over the regal role from Claire Foy, who drew praise for her delicate and nuanced performance as the British ruler all through seasons one and two. The show, based on Brit royalty, is prepping for its (much awaited) third edition, with a whole new era of political drama. We see Olivia Colman ready to headline the multi award-winning Netflix drama, with former Harry Potter star Helena Bonham Carter as her on-screen sister, Princess Margaret.

Season one and two of this period drama reports to be Netflix’s most expensive show to date, so you should definitely expect an amazing, over-the-top wardrobe for season three. The show’s third season dives deep into Princess Margaret’s life and her ill-fated marriage to Lord Snowdon (played by Ben Daniels).
The Crown S3 is scheduled to premiere next year.
