Craft, an all-day deli, bistro and bar comes to Mumbai’s Phoenix Marketcity mall, Kurla, like a breath of fresh air. It’s set among the thriving energy of high street brands and is the ideal place to take a break from shopping, grab a bite or a drink. It’s designed by Sameep Padora and runs on the idea of allowing the team of the restaurant to showcase their craft. Romil Ratra, Director of the Bellona Hospitality group said, “We wanted our customers to see the chef whipping up their meal and watch the bartenders mix their drinks without any barriers at all.” Craft is split up into a full-fledged bar, a coffee bar, a deli counter, a cold kitchen, a hot kitchen and a juice bar. They’ve tied up with multiple small scale producers to ensure that their ingredients are of the highest quality – think handmade brie and camembert, ice-creams created in-house everyday using milk from the Pride of Cows, organic free range eggs, coffee from Chikmagalur and organic granola from Sustenance.
Try the savoury baklava for a change, or the no carb spaghetti for the calorie conscious. While the porcini and truffle risotto takes the cake for the best kind of comfort food, the Baileys and brownie cheesecake is like nothing else you’ve ever tried – we’re talking melt-in-your-mouth excellence.
Meal for two approximately costs Rs 1,500 plus taxes.
